I only got $120 for my right side handguard that was all brown but part of it looked unfinished. I would say no more than $200 personally.

For a black one or "paint removed" brown one 3-400 seems very optimistic.

It's not like it's a green lefty.

I think I'm going to sell the early, US made, crosshair type Colt scope from my 1968 SP1.

I almost never use an optic and I find it much more enjoyable with open sights.

Any idea what I should ask for it?  I'm having trouble finding examples online.

Thanks!

What was the name of the surplus store that had NOS A1 sight kits?  They had them on gunbroker or you could call, started with an M I think.   They also sell electric trains.

I have some "ex Police" C7 style Uppers. They have the shattered A forge code, and I believe them to be Bushmasters. They are in good overall condition, with no major scuffs or scratches. They all retain their original rear sights, but are missing dust covers and forward assists. How much are they worth?

For the experts.

I am asking for your expertise on true type C handguards and current pricing. Identified by the extended "shelf", no drain holes per the forum guide.

I was interested in another set on GB and messaged the seller. It turns out he has a number of type C sets and he was kind enough to sell me a set before he posts the others up for sale (I assume he is going to do that).

Frankly I don't want to short him. I paid 250 for a solid set. Which is what I think Type Bs go for typically?

Type "B"'s, which are green painted brown bakelite, sell for WAY more than $250.  By WAY more, I mean $800 to $1500 a set.  Most people will not pay a hefty premium for tyoe "C"'s, because they do not know (OR do not care about) the difference between them and the much more common "no drain hole" type "D" stocks.  Of those of us that DO care, I really do not know what the going price is.  However, since you can pick up type "D's" for about $50, type "C's" would go for more, but personally, I think $250 is on the high side.  I found my set, complete with red writing on the heat shields, at a gun show for $50.  They now reside on my 602, and only I know that they are original "C's".

Roger that. Thanks for the information. I did not realize Type Bs were that much.

I am thankful to have actually finally found a set:) My 602 build is now just short the barrel.

I was looking for a retro upper and came across a complete upper on what appears to be a C7 upper.

Barrel is modern (DPMS 1/9), upper was cerakoted and then distressed. The rearmost tooth on the right handguard is broken.

What's a reasonable price?

Hmmm... maybe $225-$250.  I just got a complete 1/8 twist mid-length upper from PSA for $159 including shipping on 48 hour sale. The only value is the C7 upper for a BHD carbine.

I am going to guess $300 to $400. If you have the magazines for it. $300ish.  If you have packaging and paperwork $400. (IIRC they came with two at one point). Without a magazine, not nearly that much.

What is the serial number? That determines what is correct.  The pictures are too blurry to tell.  If it is an A1 flash hider, that would be correct, unless it is a very early SP1.  The grip is wrong, unless possibly it is a very late transition rifle.  Unlikely, but look in the grip well and see if the letter C is in there.  Serial number determines BCG and flash hider.  Are there any barrel markings?

Anyone have an idea on the value of a box of 7 GI Adventureline 20 rounders? The box is in good shape other than a clear packing tape repair to the flap.

It's marked with FSN 1005-056-2237 and "MAGAZINE ASSEMBLY--20 RD.--5.56MM 7 EACH." It's dated "10 month 70 year"

The mags appear to have never been inserted into a weapon. The metal followers are pristine.

I'm not sure what the actual value would be but would say that I would give about $150 for them. I have a bunch of GI 20 rounders already and like to use them so the new and box makes it more of a collector novelty than anything else to me.

$150 is about right.  There was a guy on Ebay selling them a year or two ago (if you can believe that) for $140 a boxed set.  I still have two boxed sets that I gave $70 each for, back in the day.  I think both of mine are 1970 dated.  I actually was issued a box with my M16A1, in 1974 in the MPs.  Never even saw a 30 rounder until 1979 when I got out and went into the USAF reserves as an SP.  The nice thing about the boxed sets I have seen is that they are early 20s with the aluminum followers.

I just checked my records and it was $130 from the eBay seller for "Adventure Line MFG Magazine 5.56MM 10 Round. Lot Of (7) VIETNAM ERA" in May 2016. There was also a coupon available on eBay at that time for 15% off up to $100, so my out of pocket cost was only $115.

Someone here posted about it and the seller sold out pretty quickly. Good deal for NOS "10 round" mags.

Any idea on general value ? I'm guessing about $15 for the bipod and maybe $20 for the altered selector.

60's bipod ? , marked 19204-8448457 MFR 26767

Dimpled M16 selector that has been modified by removing the "shark fin"

Hey everyone, I have a question about a Norinko A1 upper. It is a stripped upper. What is the value of it?

I am told the one I have for sale is maybe an early Colt and then someone told me I have a Norinko upper. I just want to make sure I am fair and if not adjust my pricing to be fair.

Thanks.

Norinco uppers are non-existent in the United States, but are found in Canada and Europe.  Pictures would help. Value would probably not be as high as US made.  Maybe a collector might want it, but small market.

Bipod about $25-$30 based on current Ebay prices.  That is probably a 70's era issue bipod. Until about 1969-1970, I believe most of the bipods were Colt.  The dimpled selector, even though neutered,  would easily go for $45-$50 on the equipment exchange.

Need help identifying and appraising this A1 upper/barrel combo.  It has almost no markings on it.  I bought it several years ago (maybe 10?) to use as a .22 upper because the seller told me it was a 1/12 twist barrel.   I've only put a few hundred rounds of .22lr through it and it shoots great.  The only markings on it are an "MP" just beneath the FSB on the right hand side, and what looks like the number "31" stamped on the underside of the barrel a little bit forward of the FSB.  The "MP" is written where the vertical line of the "P" coincides with the vertical line of the "M" (see pics).   There are no markings/stamp on the upper which has no forward assist.  I checked under the handguards (which were a bitch to remove btw!) and there were absolutely no markings anywhere.  I doubt it's a colt, wondering if it is some commercial/clone upper.  Oh it is a small-hole upper if that helps.  Thanks!

Its a Colt 604 upper (not an A1) that was made in either 1966 or 67, that the was the last barrel marking before chrome was added to the chamber in the fall of 1967. (The barrel is what we retro collectors call an MP12 barrel)

Its a damn nice upper. It would probably sell for $600 ish

eta: Whats the deal with the taper pins in the FSB? Are they partially driven out?

Wow, ok, that's a pleasant surprise, thank you.  Yes, the taper pins are partially driven out.  Don't know the story there--it's been like that since I got it and didn't try to mess with it.  Ok, I guess I had better ask about this too--the upper came with this chrome BCG.  No marks except an "M" and a smaller "P" very faintly on the bolt--I assume it's the 604 BCG?  If so what's it worth?

Now I feel bad about running it one of my other uppers :(

This...  I would think an easy $250 on the BCG.  It could be used in any of the three: 601 (though it is a little late for that), 602, or 604.  Very nice upper there.

You're not wrong. I said well over $300 as it just depends on timing. I forgot what the last one went for on there. Something like $560? But again, that's inflated, as I was able to pick one up for the price I mentioned. You're right, just depends on how bad ya need it.

Edit: or maybe I just got a smoking deal, but we do know that GB prices are quite high.

I found this mag and a few Adventure Line 20 round magazines among all the retro stuff I sold off.  I was planning on trading them to someone in Mass. as they should all be pre 94 ban magazines that are legal there, but want to make sire this isn't a collectible magazine.
