Repost to start page 129 off right - and in case it got buried:

M16A2 plastic butt-plate - butt plate only, no screws, trapdoor, etc.

Not exactly "Retro," but still historic - 2x UCP pattern, Velcro backed ISAF patches

I think the "problem" has pretty much resolved itself. As of the last page we are back on track. No need to clutter the thread up any more.

Any more discussion should be taken outside the thread so we can continue the PIF.

And as to not waste a post, I have a pair of commercial 6 hole carbine HGs with heatshields. Post an I'll take em and PM me follow up. Thanks.

I suggest that we discuss how the 'policing" of the thread should be handled, in light of some of the recent "urinating contests", to use a phrase of the garbage man.
View Quote

The PROPER term is "Urinating Tournament!"

I aint an old timer but I aint fresh off the truck either. I've been here long enough to see the PIF hit a rough patch every "once in a great while" and then get back on the right track.

I don't see a need for calling the PO-lice yet.

I think the thread does a pretty good job of regulating itself but it certainly wouldn't hurt to restate the "SPIRIT OF THE PIF" frequently so that people do keep a sense of just how SPECIAL this thread, and the feeling behind it, really are when compared with nearly every other crevice of the interwebs!

Very few places with these kinda vibes.

I still got some used M7 guards with no finish. Those don't seem to be too popular so I really need to find something more useful. I've been too lazy to dig.

Here is an oddball – retro in the sense that I Norreled it in retro grey.  PSA flattop upper with a BUIS that I made from a from a de-milled carry handle I picked up here on the PIF forum a while ago.

I had this on a retro inspired Dissipator build, but changed it out with an A1 upper. It is time to see what someone else can do with it

Standard “I will take it”   followed by an IM to me gets it in the mail…

Fastswift,

I can absolutely put that flat top upper to good use.  I'll take it.

I'm getting some things rounded up for a HK416 replica.  It won't be dead on, but for the cost comparison to the real thing, I'll be able to get it in the ballpark.  I will put something good up, I just need to figure out what I have an extra of.  Will do so very soon.

Thank you,
John Thomas
