Man there are so many great builds in here and it's making me want to refinish my old Savage Mod 67. Does anybody know where I might be able to get a nice new pump and stock with rubber butt pad to replace my old furniture?
Parts for this seem to be few and far between but I'd love a nice set of checkered oak or redwood on it!

So I finally got around to getting some pics of a m37 riot gun I picked up a little while back. The gun was part of a lot that were surplussed by the Wilmington P.D. here in North Carolina. unfortunately there are no P.D. markings. I went back for the other 3 they had and all were sold

Very nice. Nice walnut.

Makes me wish I had bought the Roadblocker I was offered years ago.

I finally took a few pictures of my Winchester 1200 clone. I still need to refinish the handguard to a parkerize color.

Your shotgun looks great! I've been slow to complete my Savage 77 project to give my 1200 a friend to hang out with.

Just picked up a Stevens 77E - not going to look like this for long.
Mine has no serial number, has anyone else run into that with theirs?

Looks like you've got the parts you need...now you just need to cut the barrel down to 20".

Share some pics when she's complete.

ETA: My Sprinfield/Savage 67F has no serial number either.

Here's some old pictures of my Sprinfield/Savage 67F. Just had the Vietnam buttstock without the pad and no front sling swivel yet.

I've since added the correct Vietnam complete buttstock with T-vent pad, front sling swivel and sling. Need to take some updated pictures.

Is it the lighting or is that stock almost black? Seems to be about as dark as I've seen.
Nice shotgun. You gonna sling it?
I think any old AR15 accessory marked with the "Armalite" brand is cool...or AR10 stuff marked "AI"!

The original finish on USGI stocks is extremely dark. They definitely weren't looking to win any beauty contests. Mine is just ass dark, but the finish is thin - been thinking about sanding it down to lighten it since it's not original anyway. (Tang safety)

The stock is as close as you can get black without being black.
Shopping for front and back swivels is next on my list, then park and a front bead needs to be installed,
I did get one surprised when I disassembled it for the first time.
I found that the back end of the slide was bent to hell and cracked to boot - have no idea how that happened.
Fortunately after bombing out finding a replacement through the usual places, I found and won one on AuctionArms.

I've got 4 of the GI stocks. 2 are a little bit lighter, but in general they are almost black.

A few pics of the process..,

[

Didn't like the way the Garand sling fit on the rear swivel, so I tried an M1 Carbine sling. It's only an inch wide (versus 1.25 inches wide on the Garand sling). I'm thinking I'll end up using the M1 Carbine sling. Here's a couple of pics...

Installed the front sling loop and now I'm thinking I could use a Garand sling. I've since installed a correct vietnam buttstock with T-vent pad.

ETA: Actually, I have a Romanian AK dark brown leather sling on this shotgun right now...it looks and functions pretty darn well.

The front sling loop I purchased was very small.

So I modified it by using a M16 front sling loop...it worked great.

After the front swivel modification, I can now use the Garand sling. It looks great.

It looks like Numrich is out of their sling swivels but Sarco still has complete stocks available which should have the swivel available.
