[Last Edit: 4/5/2011 8:21:34 AM by Andouille]
Here's my E2-forgery. Not terribly authentic and some of you would snicker at it, but I'm happy with it.
Colt upper receiver, Eagle Arms A2 lower. Some cosmetic issues with the upper, so, Gunkoted to look like gray anodizing. The finish has held up quite well. Rock River Arms 2-stage trigger, LPK and BCG. The handguards have one too many holes in them. Plastic butt stock that I spray painted the living schidt out of with gloss black Krylon Fusion paint. That's held up really well, too. Bushmaster 1:9 twist lightweight barrel complete with their sight tower and delta ring. Bushmaster fake "moderator" modified by 45Bravo with one of his grenade rings, blind pinned and welded. Barrel work was all by 45Bravo. He shortened the barrel just enough to extend into the "moderator" as far as possible with the assembly finished out at 16.25" to avoid incarceration or SBR application inconveniences. He even ground off the bayonet lug that I'd forgot to ask him to do, and reparked, no extra charge. 45Bravo's work done several years ago, before the late unpleasantness and I was more than happy with the work and responsiveness at the time. The magazine followed me home upon ETS, courtesy of all you who were paying taxes at the time. Thank you! Poison Ivy courtesy of Mother Nature. Nobody would believe me if I said how well this assortment of parts shoots, so I'll just say it does pretty well with my normal "across-the-course" load of 77-grain Sierra Match Kings. It's one of those 1:9 twist barrels that works with 77's; even a blind hog finds an acorn now and again. Assuming he stays out of the poison ivy, of course. ![]() |
