I see that the user account still exists on photobucket but the album was renamed or deleted.

Photobucket is one of several sites that changed their naming structure, which then screwed all the articles and FAQ's people had made with images directed link.  Maybe the internet way back machine/web archive has the thread saved and we can at least salvage the links with new hosting. Sad story of web-rot that has been happening since the early days as sites went down and  account names switch from the at the end into the middle of the url . Let alone the renaming of gallery insertion of coding....  Think of everything we lost of the group rec.guns  from Usenet... Preserving our Great FAQ's is battle we must under take. The people in this Retro community  have forgotten more than there is in all the new special books. Which are great in depth fact filled books but the collective people always have one more story...  from one more veteran...

Half way through 2017 and still struggling to collect all the info lost when these photos were removed.  If anyone has found a substitute resource, please keep me posted.  Thanks.

I definitely wish the pictures on page 1 were back in place.  Comments and answers from the knowledge base are very helpful - but pictures are priceless for reference.

Any luck on any pics for XM177E2 parts? Working on putting one together and seen that the s/n's for those started 900,000-909,999 but I was issued an XM177E2 in 91 in the Rangers and still have my Arms Room Card S/N 8,079,240. Even states XM177E2 stock #1005-00-938-5685. Any new info?

I posted this thread a couple years ago-

https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/Commercial___Export_Colt_610__XM177__and_USGI_XM177E2_pics/123-702510/

They are hosted on photobucket though, but they work for me as I have the photobucket "fix", which is some sort of browser extension.

Does anyone know of all the Colt parts that would have the cage code stamped on them. I know the charging handles, barrel, and the upper receiver now has the cage numbers on them. And the ambidextrous safety lever on the right side his cage numbers. Just wondering how many other parts have them. If this is a wrong place for this please move it to the correct one I appreciate it thank you
