It depends on what you consider cheap!

1/7 twist but retro A1 barrel

1/12 GI replacement barrel assembly

I have an A1 Barrel complete with FSB (no front sight, detent or spring) barrel nut and proper slip ring. no gas tube or pin, any idea what a fair price would be, it has the marks of a '64-'66 Colt with the smooth flash removed FSB.

Between

Sherluk
Tonys Customs and
High Powered Armory I put together 90% of my builds. The other 10% were lowers and gun show finds. Here is a picture of my most recent lowers with
High Powered Armory parts. Just need to switch out the pistol grips when they arrive.

Hello ar15builderohio, I couldn't help but notice a purple tint in those lowers.  Am I correct?  Do you have a picture of them in the sunlight?  I have / have come across a few purple parts and it is always fun to see others.

Does anyone know where I could find this clamp on FSB? Only information I have is that it is a Vulcan part. I need it for using on a prototype look alike 22lr build which is why I ask the question in here. Thanks.

Blackthorne (ex-Vulcan) used to carry those but I haven't seen them in a loong time.

I had a project I wanted to use one of those on, ( a spin on the Dissipator idea)  but could never find one.

Does anyone do barrel mods now like 45Bravo used to?

I'm wanting to find a slipover moderator lookalike to put on a 16" barrel and send it in to a good smith to do for me...  but a lot of the links in this thread are older and no longer work.

This is for an XM177 type build.

Thanks

Just joined AR15.com...so I am not sure if I am doing this right. I am attempting a retro-rebuild of an XM16E1.  I have the upper minus bolt/carrier and charging handle. The barrel has no proofs and I am pretty sure it is not chrome lined . It was heavily rusted and despite my best efforts not useable. Where can I find a historically accurate but useable barrel? And a parkerized FSB ,triangular handguard cap and dust cover? Any other advice and suggestions that might aid me in this rebuild....I really do not want to reinvent the wheel here. Regards to all.

Where can I find a complete retro upper? Or similar upper that can accept M16 surplus hand guards?
I'm not looking for a perfect clone. Just a look alike. Thanks.

$159 now, and free shipping with code ED7. I have no need for one, but just ordered anyway.

Thinking hard about a retro A1 build. Is this parts kit going to be good to go? I was thinking about using one of the Criterion 1:8 pencil barrels offered by Fulton Armory-

Colt 3x20 and 4x20 scope screws, flat or tipped bottom. They cost $15 each or 4 for $48. You can order them directly from Scott Stonehill at [email protected] or through his website at http://www.customscrewsandmore.com/default.html

I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place....old guy and I'm not forum knowledgable. I'm looking for a stock and grip with patina. Would prefer a stock with markings. I happened to hit an ebay search and found a set I liked but then couldn't find it again. Any suggestions of where to find what I'm looking for? Thank you

I've looked through this thread and checked most of the links to parts sources, but I cannot find an original USGI 3-prong hider. Does anyone know where I can find one? Thank you.

Bump... since this one hasn't been active in a while.  I need some parts, mainly selector switches with no right side marking, rear A1 sight assemblies, and proper split rings for A1 flash hiders.    Also, some A1 style carbine stocks.

Thought about starting a "where to find" or "parts availability" thread, but saw this one.
