Thinking of building yet another AR pistol.............I already have two, but the lure of building another is strong........... any of you guys have more than one?

My SBR started off as a pistol until my stamp came. I hated shooting it and swore I'd never build a dedicated pistol.
Well since then I've built a pistol and I'm in the middle of a second pistol build.
They are just too cool not to have in the collection. BRD

I recently finished my first Ar pistol and am currently planning to build different caliber uppers for it. The problem is if I just build an upper it will eventually end up with a dedicated lower.. They always do

I can definitely see more than one and own two myself.  However, mine are in different calibers...5.56 and 300BO...and if I build another it will probably be a pistol caliber model like 9mm.  I love AR's, but I really don't care for a lot of overlap or basically identical versions.  My 5.56 AR's go from 9.25", 11.5", 14.5", 16", 18", 20", and 24"...with two 16" models since they are the meat and potatoes section for the AR15 IMO.  Two AR10's in 16" and 20" in .308 round out the field.  I like lots of guns, I just don't a bunch of the same guns...variety being the spice of life and all.

I only have 3, but I've got most of the parts for a 4th. You can fit more pistols in the safe than rifles.

I've built three, soon to build my 4th.  Mine are almost identical, with different color hardware signifying the changes in caliber.  10.5" barrels + ALG EMR V1 & Shockwave Blades just work for me. .223 WYLDE & 300 BLK were the first 2 (both PWS barrels), then 9mm (PSA Colt Style lower/KAK barrel & bolt) and I've got 98% of the parts I need for the 7.62 x 39 (BCA barrel) build.  I think I'll stop after I finish the next 2 on my list (6.8 SPC) & dedicated .22LR.  I really don't like the Glock mag lowers, but would love to have 45ACP & .357SIG as well.  If .357SIG happens, I'd build both a pistol and a rifle.  Well, maybe 10mm too.

I have three in 9mm, 7.62x39 and .300blk.

I wouldn't mind a .357sig or 10mm build, but there aren't many options and none are as cheap as 9 or 45. I'm hoping PSA follows their .45 carbine with a 10mm one day since both can use the same lower.

I've looked at Lone Wolf's .357sig upper but I don't see it for sale on their site yet, and it's only available in 16"

Thought I would be fine with 1 pistol, 5.56 with a 7.5 barrel. Then, got a 300 blk 10.5 upper for it also. Guess what that means... shopping for a lower...

Two  pistols. Both 7.62x51. Both have LAW tactical folder adapters and Sig braces and AIMPOINT T-2 2moa and both bang 8 inch steel at 250 yards all day long. Life is short. It sounds like you know you already want another one. GO FOR IT!!!! Sounds like you need one in 450 Bushmaster.

I have two. A more $$$$ one and a cheaper one. The cheaper one got some spray paint and is my apartment GH gun.

As far as wanting more... try shooting what you have more oftena and that urge will most likely subside.

I have shot them quite a bit........I enjoy shooting them, large fireball and all. In any case, I will probably only build one more

One or many, the one AR pistol that any shooter should have if there was such a thing as a "requirement" is a 9" or so 300BO suppressed.  For the longest I resisted, thinking this caliber and AR pistols in general were a fad and relatively useless.  After shooting a friend's 300BO with my suppressor, I've totally changed my assessment on the pistol concept and much more so on the 300BO pistol.  With the appropriate length barrel, 300BO suppressed is stupid quiet and extremely accurate in the 100-yard envelope, and the whole package is quite compact.  Obviously we all know this is exactly why the 300BO was developed, and it shows.

My 11.5" 5.56 pistol still retains some pretty decent ballistics, and it has been surprisingly accurate.

You can never have too many

So many useful setups and they're a great option when awaiting a tax stamp

At today's price why not build more

Working on my second pistol build.  They are so much fun and prices are as low as they've ever been.  With current pricing I decicded to do a 11.5" budget pistol build and see how far I could stretch my money.  So far I picked up a blem upper receiver from Right to Bear for $29, a premium nitride BCG from Alpha Shooting Sports for $59, and an ALG EMR V2 rail plus muzzle brake for $69.

I have a 9 mm and a 45 acp in a pistol.  In the process of putting together a couple more lowers that I already have.  They will become 5.56 and 7.62 x 39.  That leaves me with a lone 22 lr upper, I am trying to avoid the urge of putting together another lower for that one.  I have a 10.5 inch 300 Blackout that I have SBRed.  Without a doubt it is an addiction.  One can always find a reason to spend a couple a 100 bucks.  Its almost ridiculous, glad I don't fish, golf, ride motorcycles (anymore) I'd have to give up eating!

Im thinking of building a 556 pistol that matches my 9mm AR pistol. Just cause the ATF letter regarding pistol braces...

I make it a point that every lower I build starts life as a pistol so if I get an itch it can be scratched and I can change on a whim.  Have one 11.5" 5.56 currently, thinking of 12.5" Grendel though as the allure of fairly cheap steel cased ammo is appealing.

Late last year I bought a pistol kit from Thunder Tactical and it came with an 80% lower.  I put in an Anderson closed ear lower and ended up changing the hand guard and muzzle device along with adding a Shockwave and H buffer to get it the way I wanted it.

I finally got my 80% lower machined out, so soon I will be building another pistol, this time an evil "ghost pistol" that only shoots from the hip with banana clips.

I have 5 , my only  justification is that they are in 5 different calibers.
.22lr
5.56
.300 blk
7.62x39
6.5 Grendel
Considering one in 5.45x39  (I have a small stack of spam cans)
