If it's vertical, and you can wrap your hand around it like your pistol grip.......... Don't.
If your OAL is over 26 inches, do it at your own risk. All LEOs do not know the laws and regulations they enforce, so sometimes they just do what they think is correct, and even then, sometimes they do things just because the can. The only list I know of, is the one you don't want to be on. |

I've never seen a definitive list, but it would all be based on ATF letters. There are quite a few of those pertaining to specific AFG's in this thread: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_122/525036_Request---Scans-of-any-letters-from-the-BATFE--that-pertain-to-AR-pistols.html&page=1
That said, all AFGs and hand stops would be fine, even if they don't have a letter. |
