I'm sure others have asked but I need some help building my first ar pistol. I want a 10.5 inch 5.56 Barrel but not sure what type of Barrel I should purchase or where I should get it from.

I'd get this one:

FAXON at Rainier Arms

Out of stock right now but worth the wait

Thanks man. That looks legit. I should have mentioned in my first response I'm looking for a complete upper but I'm unsure of what barrel. Not sure what is best since I want it short. Melonite nitrate stainless steal etc.

Check PSA of course and Androcorp. I believe Andro offers a discount for site members. Melonite,Nitride, QPQ, all the same thing, is probably the best way to go. Accurate, durable, and affordable.

I got mine from Primary Weapons Systems, and am impressed thus far.  Top knotch folks.  Of course I'm biased and try to buy local when I can.  https://primaryweapons.com/store/product/10-5-di-barrel/

I'd stay away from stainless for a pistol. Melonite / nitrided chrome moly steel is longer lasting and lighter. Stainless is more for precision looking range rifles, is heavier and won't tend to last as long. I've had a good SS barrel go bad fast.

I have the Noveske on mine. Its double chrome linned, CHF, built for high rates of fire, and to be a machine gun barrel unlike the stainless barrels.

Thanks man! You definitely answered my question that was what I was confused about. I ended up going with a 10.5 in black nitrate Barrel.

I wanted a Noveske Barrel but my budget wasn't enough for one.
