This build is coming along nicely

I just waiting on the YHM 10" barrel and I'll be able to finish it.

I'm using a Strike Industries Cookie Cutter Comp and by using the 10" barrel there will only be a 1/8" gap between it and the Hand Guard with no additional machining.

That was the inspiration for the whole project.

I know it's not for everyone but I like innovative new products and Strike Industries has plenty of them.

Since the Cobalt receiver is so innovative I figured why not use the SI components.

I'm considering something like that but for  me forward assist grips are like gloves, I have to try them out to see if they feel right.

Personally I like it. But I replaced it on my rifle with a magpul VFG.

It heats up along with the handguard, being aluminum and all.
