Just built one just like you want. Radical firearms upper for $200, Primary arms, but out of stock at moment. Nice pistol for the buck.

KAK Value Barrel $100
Matrix Arms Handguard $40-70 KAK Gas Block/Gas Tube $30 Anderson Sport Upper $50 or Aero Complete Blem Upper $80 A2 Flash Hider or KAK Can Micro/Slim $10-$25 That right there is pretty cheap. Radical comes with a nice handguard made by seekins but the barrels are questionable. KAK Shockwave tube is nice for 20 bucks even without the brace. LPK is your choice. |

Mine cost 510 and I had to buy the stripped lower subtract that with the transfer fee you are still looking at around 400 by the time you buy an upper which alone is around 250 and up then bcg and charging handle at least a 100 then buffer kit around 50. And now after this last shooting looks like parts have gone up a bit or out of stock a lot of places.

I bought a stripped lower for $50 and a BCG for $90. That's around $400 total. I don't think you can get much cheaper than that. |

To get those individual pieces from the best places around price wise you are going to spend what like $70 to $100 more on what is in that kit? Shaggs you get it built yet, if so how does it shoot? |

i put together a delta team upper for a friend. it shoots pretty well. the sights are junk tho

I think if it depends if buying parts for the upper or buying a complete upper with or with out bolt carrier group and charging handle. I am a newby to this and still think I did decent for 510. It all depends on what is available too and what you have for funds. I bought what was available when I had the cash. My pistol build was still cheaper than my BPMS rifle which I got a great deal on.

All I know is Parts kits are going up.I saw more AR guns and parts and kits at the gun show this weekend then I have ever seen.

I am tempted to order the delta team kit for 265 but saw a lot of complaints on the internet about long delivery times.

I built one for about $585.
Forged lower Psa 10.5" upper Brownell bcg Magpul mbus front and rear Cmmg lpk Pistol buffer tube kit from aim surplus. First one I built was about $1000 with mbus and a red dot. I'll be breaking her in this weekend. |

I built a pistol last month.
Using an Andro Corp upper found Here And a PSA complete pistol lower, but that's out of stock. $450ish for a complete basic pistol. |
