I have a Wilson combat 11.3 in barreled 300blk upper I'm cutting down to 7.5. As it stands I cant get last round bolt hold open with factory ammo. I figure after the chop the problem will only get worse. Figured I'd have the Smith open the gas port while its there. What size should I go with?  Standard bcg, standard dpms buffer and spring.

Interesting, I thought .100 was huge.  Guess not.

I run .125 on sub and super pistol gas blk.  Works fine for both with standard gas block and standard weight buffer..

My Wilson 8.5" is
At .110. I added an adj. Gas block.
It cycles bunny fart subs now.

Would it cycle factory rem 220grain subs without the adj gas block?

I'm running .125 with a Syrac adjustable gas block, and it will cycle with pretty much anything with a standard buffer & spring if the gas block is adjusted correctly.

I have a 16" carbine gas opened to .125 and it cycles all 4 supers/subs and suppressed supers/subs with no issues. I have a 1/8 twist and can stabilize up to 220smks. 240 were keyholing at 25 yards.

Hope this helps

Running .095 now with 11.5 in Wilson combat cut down to 7.5in and runs flawlessly. Even stabilizes Missouri bullet company 245g bullets.
