Thanks for all the advice. I think I will go with a 7.5 to start with, then go to the 10.5-11.5 range. I will not be going for over 26inch and (perhaps, perhaps not) going to use the Dolos System, so any angle\vert grip option is out. So a magwell type grip will work out well (besides it is comfortable to shoot that way with the AR pistol that I tried).Got a Vortex SPARC sitting in the parts box, so that can be my sight for now. At the moment I am looking at linear comps. So far the Kaw Valley and the KX3 look to be the best. Also looking at the KaK Flash Can vs. KX3 (seems like the KaK is just a "cone" while the KX3 has a baffle inside). From my reading here (and other spots on the web), it seems there can be a "wrong" way to hold and\or fire an AR pistol. This is the first time I have heard of a firearm having an incorrect way to shoot. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't how you shoot your pistol (or rifle or other) up to you? I may be wrong on that (will have to re-read the NFA again). When I shoot those (AR) pistols it was one hand on grip, cheek on the buffer tube foam pad and other hand around the mag well (my arms are way 2 long to ever consider resting the end of the buffer tube on any part of my body). Did I hold the AR pistol wrong? Right now the whole thing seems as clear as a glass of pudding. But none the less, I am moving ahead with this pistol build. Some other junk box (where all my spare AR\AK stuff goes) parts Im thinking about using are.......Vltor CASV-EL, YHM EZ-pull takedown pins, Magpul K2 grip, Odin Works mag release and (perhaps) RRA 2 stage trigger. Now I just gota think about throwing some OD green into the mix.
