Check out a Black Hole Weaponry barrel. I've built 3 AR's with them and they are nice and solid. If you want a heavy barrel one of these will fit the bill. Surplus Ammo usually has them for about that price with a stripped upper thrown in. When I shoot my Carbon I can feel the heat radiating off the barrel. The ones I've built with the BHW barrel barely feel warm. It is surprising what a difference barrel mass makes on the way the barrel absorbs and reflects heat.

Use this search tool... I have already done the work and typed in 10.5 for you.
Check out the list of barrels in stock all over Its a really great tool for comparing prices. Good luck Rainier Arms Select stainless I found using that search tool. I have 2 rainier barrels. A 7.5 match and a 12.5 ultra match. Very good product and Rainier arms will stand behind it always. |

So far I've been very happy with my Aero Precision 10.5 barrel. Just thought I'd include that. Been very satisfied with my pistol build using a majority of Aero items, lower, upper, bcg, lpk and barrel.

I have the 10.5" Rainier Select barrel. It's been great so far.
Hindsight, I would have looked for something not stainless + chrome lined. Maybe CHF as well. |

Black Hole Weaponry all the way. Parabolic rifling, easier to clean, increased velocity. Did I say easier to clean!

Just ordered a 10.5 from Aero Precision. As an FYI, they're having a site wide 12% superbowl sale right now. I think it dropped the barrel (with pinned FSB) down to $191'ish with free shipping.
