Alright, there is almost 1/4" hole in the barrel extension of this 7.5" pistol barrel, right thru the side, between the lugs and the barrel/chamber, if the barrel index pin was 0 degrees, this hole is approx 220 degrees, wtf is this?

There is a pin pressed in it across from the hole inside the bolt area? whatever it's called, would this thing not blow a hole in the barrel nut threads of the upper receiver? Hole measures 0.190"
