8" 300 BLK bbl from law-guns.com

K2 grip

KAK

Troy Alpha, squids

RR 2stage

Osprey

Trijicon TX30

I'll probably throw one of the small Troy rails on there for sling mount and light.

Nice set up. I like to get one ...Wish ammo was a bit cheaper, even  re-load it costs more than quality 7.62x39 ammo.

I cast my own wheelweight 220gr bullets using a Lee die or use 147gr FMJ M80 pulls I stacked deep in the 90's. It is a very cheap and efficient round for me.
Have buckets full of 5.56 brass and about 1k converted.
I have had dozens of 7.62x39 weapons over the years and have reloaded for decades so I have very specific reasons to choose Blk

1] 308 bullets everywhere, even tracer and AP
2] 150gr projectile weight range, cmon...
3] plug and play in AR15 with easy optics mounting, quality triggers, cheap bolts, cheap barrels, cheap mags....
4] case capacity optimized to give full ballistic performance in short barrels
5] Super to sub loads readily available even if you dont reload.
6] 575ft lbs x 30+rds x mousefart quiet with can
7] Industry supporting this round like no other. It could probably get elected to congress if it wanted.

This is not a criticism of x39 AR pistols, go that way if you want. Not interested in it.
If you could get a fast twist x39 bbl you might get to the flatout ballistic utility of the 300blk but brass cost would kill the deal. 1/7 twist and maybe open up a mold to throw heavy 0.311 pills in the 250 range. I dunno.

I might go after a cheap ammo build after this one, 5.45x39 pistol.
Cat is out of the bag on screwing up the surplus ammo market so why the hell not.
I have a LOT of it stashed so it would be a fun blaster.
Already have a 16" build that my son claimed.

Nice... wish we could get cans in CA.

I like the 300blk as well, but plan on building a X39 just so I can make an unbiased and proper side by side comparison ;)

50yds with some 147gr M80 pulls.

It runs with my 220 subs with or w/o sdn6. Remington 220 will not cycle w/o can.

220gr Lee cast bullets are slightly keyholed on paper so no suppressor. My deer dropping125gr Hornady SST load from last year ran well. Need to load some more. Might need an optic upgrade though. Love this thing.
