Alignment of the gas port is easy. You can either eyeball it or put some masking tape on the shoulder of the barrel and mark a line where the gas hole is. Bend a paper clip so you have about 1/4" at a rt angle, then use it to measure the distance from the shoulder to the gas hole in the barrel and the distance from the rear of the gas block to the gas hole in the block. make a determination if the gas block can be pushed to the shoulder of the barrel or if it has to stand out some for the ports to align.
Pin the tube to the gas block, Align the tube to the mark on the tape and use some Loctite on the threads of the block.
Are you going with the 10.5" Wylde chamber or the Melonite barrel?
I just bought
this one I was looking for a 10.5" 1x8, Wylde Melonite and they got it back in stock. Received it and it looks nice. I can't say anything about it other than that since it is not assembled and obviously haven't fired it. MAS should be a good choice as well.
