Building my first AR pistol.... nothing too short; a 10.5" 223 Wylde chamber with KAK flashcan.

What all optics do you guys run on your AR pistols?

I got a 2-7x Burris laying around that was a take off of my Stag Rifle after I put a PA 1-6x illuminated on it,

I threw it on the upper tonight..... not sure if It will stay.

I am running a Burris FF3 3MOA atm .. trying it out, very light and the auto light adjuster is great. I also run an Aimpoint PRO or a 1-4 on occasion.

Currently an Aimpoint PRO on a 11.5" upper. I had a PA micro but since my pistol has become my HD AR for various reasons I like the constant on of the PRO vs the PA micro.

I love it...... wish it wasn't so long or I would put another one on the AR pistol but, I really really like the scope.
Its clear, bright, and I had it out in a freak thunderstorm while getting pelted with rain and it was still good to go as far as shooting thru it.

I wanted a 1x Holographic Sight (for close combat) with a 3X Magnifier that I could flip to the side (for longer distance...obviously we're talking pistols here so don't think you're going to be shooting 500 yards).  I went with the Eotech XPS2 and added a magnifier.  It doesn't have night vision capabilities but I don't think I'm going to need that anyway.  I also liked the way it didn't have a raised mount.  I wanted to as low on the rail as possible.  I was going to get the G33 Magnifier but then I ran across a YouTube video talking about the Vortex VMX 3-T Magnifier, how good the quality was and how it will work with Eotech.  When it came down to $230 for Vortex vs. $500+ for the Eotech I just couldn't substantiate the difference. I'm very please with my set up.

If you want to get a GREAT comparison of how various Optics look POV check out this video.  It pretty much sold me on going with Eotech because of the unobstructed view.

Due to the etched reticle in the Spitfire, I think I am leaning towards buying it for the AR pistol.

OP, I have that same barrel, handguard and muzzle device set up going on my current build, great minds think alike.    It's nice to see it assembled, mine is yet to be as I paint it.

I plan on a Primary Arms red dot (have one on my AK pistol and love it) and the cheapest Magpul folding sights I can find.
