Do you put it on a regular buffer tube or does it HAVE TO HAVE the proprietory tube?

I put mine on a phase 5 hex-2 buffer tube. I did this because it gives you about the perfect length of pull. They will work on other tubes but the kac and phase 5 seem to be the most popular

Has Sig stopped producing the SB15 because they're coming out with the Gen2? The reason I ask because the cheapest on ebay is 130 now. Even Osage only has the FDE listed....and at $177
