Is it ok to build an AR15 pistol lower with a pistol buffer tube and use it for a .22lr pistol? I thought I read somewhere that this might be an issue because the .22lr does not require the buffer system to function. It would make sense to have the buffer tube/system so you can switch back and forth between 5.56 and .22lr, but I thought I would check.

ciener and CMMG .22 conversions do not require the buffer to be in place. Spikes Tactical sells a plug if you wanted to go without the buffer tube. i would install the buffer tube assembly so that i could switch between uppers.
