So ive been seeing these AR pistols in gun stores that do not have a buffer tube, how do these cycle without the BCG cycling back into the buffer tube?

There is a new RRA pistol that uses a piston and has no receiver extension.  
The Olympic Arms OA-93 also uses a different system than most ARs and has no receiver extension.
There is also a new .22lr S&W M&P pistol that you might be seeing in stores as well.  ARs that shoot .22lr usually don't need the receiver extension for anything other than to hold a stock.

The internals are nothing like a standard ARs.

The .22's are blowback operated.

the recoil spring runs along the top of the barrel instead of needing a receiver extension
