Had the 300blk SBR and a 16in 5.56 that I never shot. Sold that, bought a brace and muzzle and built this 10.5" with the spare parts I found when cleaning my closet. SBR is still my favorite to shoot, but this gun is definitely my go-to. Attached File

Finished this one up for my dad last week.
LGS branded Anderson lower with Anderson LPK.
ALG Trigger
SBA3
DSI Upper
KAK (BA) 12.5" Middy barrel
Toolcraft BCG

The usual farkles...Surefire G2X in a Elzetta (IIRC) M-lok mount and a Strike industries sling.
So far it's dead nuts accurate with the MBUS rear. I'll slap a red dot on it in time. Probably something like a Romeo5 or Primary Arms.

That's great to hear. I've got a KAK 12.5 5.56 barrel I am building an alternative upper for my 300 BLK.

The other rifle is a Colt 6920, no mods, other than adding a carry handle and adding a MLOK rail under the handguard.
I liked the way it looked and decided to pattern the pistol after it.

I'm taking the pistol out tomorrow to function test.

Edited to add:

Lubed with Mobile 1, cycled the BCG about 30 times, and pulled a bore snake through the barrel.

Fired 25 rounds with no issues.

Nothing spectacular... Generic "put-together" kits from Delton, PSA, and some random parts I've picked up over the last couple of months... Built on Aero and Spike's lowers. Got about 550 dollars in the most expensive one, and less than 3 in the cheapest.

All turned out to be good noise makers... And sooner or later, they'll all make good trade fodder.

Gemtech GMT-Halo host. Also, new Vortex 3x mini magnifier & Holosun HS512C optic. Maiden voyage range trip with the new optic combo yesterday, I'm more than happy. Reviews of both to come. This gun runs balls out all day long @ ~ 25% gas suppressed..

ETA: This is a 7.5" BA 556 modern profile. Full mass BCG, Armaspec captured H buffer system, HiperFire Eclipse ~ 2.25lb single stage trigger. And, as always SA Adj GB.

New 12 5 KAK midlength upper built and shot it today! Lightweight, perfect balance and shoots like a dream! Right now I share this lower with a 300 BLK. I was 5.56 less for a while and had a ton of 5.56/223 ammo so I was in bad need of a new 5.56 pew pew. I just can't get over how good this thing feels. I did not see any fireballs. With adjustable midlength gas this thing is a pussycat to shoot. This will become my go to HD gun. I need to get a light mount, a qd point for my sling and maybe an AFG. I need to get a dedicated BCG

@ki_soarer If it were me I'd be looking at the Streamlights. I have mostly Surefire but do have one Protac and its a good light. $115 or so gets the light, mount, and tape switch. Tape switch isn't as "clicky" as the SF but the value is good IMO. check the EE and you may get a good deal sub $100.

I've used Surefire G2 and 6P bodies with a Malkoff drop-in on a couple guns. Probably not the most economical route if you buy all the parts but I had a few bodies lying around so I didn't have to buy them.
