Very nice @MDOhmart  I was thinking of doing the same thing.  Question, fully extended is it under 13.5" length of pull?  I'm glad you posted it because that concerned me.  Thanks, I like it..

@balane

Thank you!

If length of pull is a concern of yours, and you want the folding capability, you might want to chop the extension and brace as can be seen here.

Thanks.  So I'm assuming that's over 13.5"  I don't think I can mod a brace the way shown in that thread.  I'll have to stew on it a while.

If you have a saw, you can mod the brace. You can buy a short extension and buffer from LWRC.

Oh I know I could likely physically modify the brace but my options aren't very good either way.  I could potentially rile the ATF with a modified brace or having a pistol with a longer than 13.5" LOP.  I've read here that either can be risky if you happen to end up at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Is that a Trijicon rmr on your .300 blackout? What is the mount you are using for it? I’m thinking of doing a similar optics setup on my pistol.

What is that device on top of your rail at the front? Light? Laser? I’m always curious for new things.

It's an *old* vis laser, was given to me as part of an existing URG trade. The previous owner gave it a nice coat of FDE so I'm not 100% on make/model. It's held zero for over 2,000 rounds.

Vis laser has limited use but I have it zero'd at 10YDS/standoff type distance. For immediate target acquisition (and minute of bad guy accuracy), there's nothing faster. So it stays on the HD pistol.

That is indeed a Trijicon RMR on what looks to be a UTG L 1/3 mount. They make them in both ACW & Lower 1/3 height. The mount for the $$$ can't be beat. I use the absolute height version on one of my 7.5" uppers (Gemtech GMT Halo host.)

Absolute combo pack

I got some overdue gun organization done and figured while I had the safe in disarray I'd take a pistol family photo.

Mostly frankenbuilds with cheap parts and PSA uppers, but there are a few nice uppers in the mix. The Mk18 is full DD. The bronze Sig M400 .300 Blk builds I posted a few pages back. The 11.5" alpha rail is a DD upper build and my current bedroom AR.

Also threw in my Draco to fill it in a bit. I can stop anytime, I swear.

I've bought three of these. Two 36" and one 24". They're as good as it gets.

eBay seller is GTG (They're also on Amazon.)

Here's a pic of my 36" FDE bag. The black 24" I recently got for my 7.5" 556 / 8" 300 BO build is just as nice. Nice and compact!

What buffer tube are you running with the shockwave? Specifically the pistols where the brace is not all the way down on the receiver like most I've seen. Thanks.

Some are the KAK tubes they came with, others are misc PSA pistol tubes I've had for a while. The PSA ones with fluting work pretty well with the shockwave. I haven't had them shift as long as they're tightened down well.

Finally! Got my 9mm its own lower now! Actually I built a new lower for the 300 Blk, with a Matrix receiver I got for $35 and the MBT Christmas sale trigger. For now I'm going to use the Phase 5 tube on the 9mm.  Maybe later, move the SBA3 brace over to the 9mm. Im going to build a retro 12.5 mini dissy 5.56 upper to share with 300 pistol and I think I'm going to go with an SBM4 on the lower for the retro look.But before I start the dissy upper I'm going to buikd a whole Grendel SPR. Damn I gots the BRD!

@GrimEReaper
It is a  BCM mod 0. I have xl hands (gloves size) but short damn fingers I've decided. The grip on the bottom 9mm is a Magpul K2+ and I like its rubber overcoat, but I find I have to really stretch my trigger finger, with light gloves on its really kind of difficult. So I bought the mod 0 with no beavertail and I like it a lot.

Are those CAA stock saddles on the Shockwave braces? Are those legal to put on a pistol? I remember those after market butt plates were ruled illegal by an ATF letter. They look cool and functional though.

Hi,
I'm thinking to do the same setup as yours for my light and optics. How's the sight picture with this setup, any obstruction to your view with the light at 12 o'clock position? What mount height do you use, absolute or 1/3 lower co-witness? Thanks in advance for sharing your info.
