Chances are it is going to be way over gassed. I went to a h3 buffer in mine.

My 18" stainless has been flawless. No "fixes" necessary. Makes me want to build a 7-08.

Mine is a gen 1 that came with a buffer tube marked PA10. It takes normal ar15 buffers and came with a H buffer. It has been flawless and very accurate, but would eject brass to 1 o'clock the next bench over which meant way over gassed. So I put a h3 buffer in it and the brass ejected better with no dents at 3:30 position. The rifle has been great though. I would recommend it to guys that don't mind to tinker. It isn't a rifle that the inexperienced just expect to be perfect out of the box.

I've got a Gen 1 build.  Everything PSA except a Faxon 16" barrel, SLR adj gas block, and AIM BCG.  Tuned it to run a standard carbine buffer.   I also run it suppressed with an Omega.  Nicest rifle I have.  Shoots better than my Noveske 18" 5.56 SPR and cost about half as much although it did take a bit of tinkering.  Suppressed and loaded with 110 grn TAP it's my primary HD rifle.

SLR adjustable gas block results are amazing. I suggest it for any fast cycling 308 AR.

Updated the thread.

How hard was your barrel nut to remove?
My rail is a tiny bit off from the upper receiver rail, I was going to fix it but I couldn't get the nut to budge and didn't want to round It off since I was only using an adjustable wrench, I dont have a wrench that large.

Hmm... I haven't tried the 110gr TAP... good thinking !

And I am quite happy with my bargain PA10 as well... sooner or later, I am going to have to add up the cost of the parts alone to assemble what we bought so cheaply.

Yea 110 TAP at HD ranges would be devastating.   Like having 20 rounds of 12 gauge slug except hearing safe (with my Omega) and soft shooting.

My FF handguard is easy to adjust.... no need to mess with the barrel nut. ( Which was tight. )

For that matter, by design it is easily snugged up or twisted to adjust for cant.

Can you link or post photos to your specific PA10 and / or handguard mounting point ?

I don't have any good photos of the handguard on me, but I believe its a MI stainless gen 1. The mounting screws go through the rail into the barrel nut, they have a bit of slop but not enough to align it fully.

Had my PA10 at the range yesterday (completed upper from PSA with 18" stainless barrel, free-float handguards, PSA lower with MOE furniture and PSA's enhanced polished trigger). I was sighting it in with the 6-power Kahles ZF-95 scope I'd just mounted using Warne quick-detach rings.

I'm getting consistent sub 1.5" 3-shot groups with 147 grain Radway Green surplus, and my handloads that use Sierra Gameking 165 grain bullets.

Is that a OEM PSA hand guard ?

Just saw that I missed this. Yes came on the upper that I ordered in December-ish of 2015.
