I have one of the original DPMS 6.5 Creedmoors with the red lettering on the for end. Still the best Shooting gun I own.
Just cant find any picture. |

Here's a link to my old build thread. The rifle is now tan after being cerekoted and I've got about 1,000 rounds through it. Shoots well, but it's a heavy pig.

Are ya'll using the Aero M5 BCG with the smaller firing pin hole?

It is a BCG from Aero. But since we have probably had that BCG for almost 2 years now, I'm not exactly sure if it's what you are describing.

After receiving it, I found it appears to be a re-badged Toolcraft. I had to send it back and get the Nitride version actually cut by Aero. |

Just added the Magpul PRS stock to mine. It is a nice stock, but I am gonna have to drill out a hole on the end of it to fit over the QD mount PWS has on their end plates so the stock will fit flush with the receiver. It works now as it, but It will annoy me having that gap there.

Which mount are you going to use?
I started with a G mount but then moved to an LT845 and unimount when I decided to add the raptors. |

Try some of the Hornady 140g American Gunner.
The BTHP is a winner in my book - I'm at 2k+ rounds for the year and it's all I buy. Hell on plates from 300-1250y. While not out of a gas gun - here's what a rpr will do with it. Attached File |

The Berger 130s should be going around 2600fps out of a 16" barrel, which at my alt (900' ASL) remain supersonic past 1100 yards and over 1000 ft/lb energy at 500 yards. That, to me, is compelling, especially in a sub-7lb gas rifle. |

I've got a PSA PA10 bare Gen 1 lower and upper that I need to do something with. Would 6.5 Creedmoor be a bad choice for this receiver set?
I've got enough .308 rifles covered that I'm considering doing something like the 6.5C but I want to make sure I'm not headed down a path of headache and frustration. If I'm understanding the 6.5C cartridge correctly, I can purchase a "standard"/large frame AR10 barrel in 6.5C, a 308 BCG from JP Enterprises or some other manufacture who makes a small tip firing pin and reduced aperture bolt face firing pin opening and use standard 308 AR10 PMags to make this come together. Is that right? Thanks |

From a curiosity standpoint...will 6.5C fit the "small frame" AR10 receiver sets without feeding issues?

I'm running a .308 Mega Maten but have been considering rebarreling to 6.5CM.
Which barrel lengths should I be looking at for a healthy mix of portability while retaining velocity? Rainier has a good looking 22" tube for under $500.... |

Getting started here. I'm going to miss out on an adjustable gas system's benefits, but hoping LMT has their package sorted out. Most likely I'll run an H3 buffer with a stock 308 spring, an play with the spring weight to get the system sorted.

I've been getting around an inch with factory Hornady. I need to get some Bergers loaded up and see if I can shrink it a bit. I need to get out and shoot more often but work/kids/usmc-r keeps me pretty busy. I haven't been out to B-Tactical in a few months. One of my buddies went to Mesquite and shot the 600 yards there yesterday, found out that his zero was off center to where he couldn't dial 600 yards on his R700 308. You will run a special AR10 length buffer. What I do, is take my AR10 length buffer apart, then add in Tungsten weights as needed. I use the DPMS AR10 spring. I want the slowest unlocking and bolt velocity possible, so I pretty much run as heavy a buffer that will work. On my krieger barrel, it ran the 10 ounce buffer no problem, with an SLR adjustable gas block and I still had to turn the block down. |

What I meant was the H3 weighted CAR10 buffer. 5.4oz, or similar

Milspec carbine extension from KAC. View Quote My question would be - why would you "choose" to run a shorter extension, and be forced into a light buffer, when you don't have to?
