I used an SLR gas block on my last build, I was very impressed with the quality and the shipping time.

I used the Kies clamp on and an very happy with it. A like blue Loctite is recommended. Mine hasn't lost adjustment since it was set.

I had a JP.  I didn't like it because there was nothing to lock the adjustable screw in place.  It had a loose thread fit.  It never fell out r turned but it still bothered me.  You can't  adjust the setting unless you have a small hex wrench.

That one looks good, but I want something that I can pin. Does syrac offer that?

A properly torqued Clamp-On Gas Block will not slip...

the barrel will bend first.

Pinning is so 50's.

Slr set screw blocks work great. Get a dimpled barrel or do it yourself. They don't move at all. Love that click adjustment!

I went SLR and couldn't be happier. Nothing against Syrac, they make a very high quality piece, but the spring steel detent on the SLR is an ingenious solution to the detent problem. I have never liked the tiny BB and spring for a detent in a gas block.

can the adjustment screw be removed on the syrac or SLR without the springs/detents falling out?

That's the beauty of the SLR, there is no spring and detent to fall out.

I prefer a pinned block vs set screw or clamp.
