Anyone know where to get an m5 stripped lower? Seems like they are out of stock everywhere I'm in the same boat. I have damn near everything but the stripped lower. I ran into that same problem back in Dec '15. Himmed and hawed at getting a complete and decided to get one anyway, I already have like 3 LPK's. Soon I as bought one they went out of stock and came back a few weeks later. IMO you are best to check their site often and be ready to pull the trigger as soon as one is posted as in stock. . Yup the barrel is bulled out I use the gem state tool. I just ordered a PRI 308 barrel nut wrench, I hope it works. http://www.amazon.com/PRI-Dpms-Barrel-Torq-Wrench/dp/B00JF79XPC?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00 |

How many rounds do you have on the phase 5? I want to build an aero for a duty rifle, but the bolt release issues are scaring me. Might go with a Armalite def10 instead. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I had a CMMG 308 bolt catch from a 308 lower parts kit that worked fine in my Aero M5 receiver. I bought the Aero bolt catch later and it did not function properly in terms of locking the bolt back on a Pmag magazine, unlike the CMMG one. I have since replaced it with a Phase 5 extended bolt release, which I also have had no problems with so far. How many rounds do you have on the phase 5? I want to build an aero for a duty rifle, but the bolt release issues are scaring me. Might go with a Armalite def10 instead. I only have about 250 rounds through my Aero M5 308, so no data here on the long term reliability of the Phase 5 bolt release. This was recommended to me by other members on this site. |

Okay you can add Gem state AR wrench and Precision reflex to barrel nut wrenches that work on a Ballistic barrel/ Rainier arms switch barrel nut. The gem state doesn't go over the barel and the PR barrel nut wrench doesnt line up with the holes on the nyt. I was trying to get this thing done and get shooting this week but I guess that is not going to happen. I might just post it on the EE and get a M1A and call it a day I have been trying to get this thing together for 2 weeks just to find out the tools don't work and order another one and wait another week. If anyone is looking for one please pm me, it would be a whole rifle deal no parting. unless someone knows something about barrel nuts.

I didn't read all 31 pages, but am wondering if anyone has used the KAK 16" budget barrel? They are typically $150, but currently $125.
I had to order one at that price. |

What bolt catch is everyone using? The armalite 10a catch or going with the aero catch included in their lpk?

New Build! Aero M5 upper and lower Aero M5 Handguard KAK BCG KAK Barrel V7 safety RRA 2 stage trigger Aero L/W scope mount Leupold Rifleman 3-9 x 40 Magpul stock |

Let us know how well it shoots please. I have almost exactly the same setup, but with AP 12" MLOK handguard. Using the 16" KAK budget barrel. I am just waiting on said handguard to arrive and I will be able to test fire.

I took it to the range last week and test fires were a disaster. Narrowed the issue down to gas block alignment. Hopefully a re do this week!

About to start collecting the parts for my Aero M5 build. Wish me and my wallet luck! Good luck! Any ideas on what parts your planning on? I bought a Rainier match barrel for my 5.56 pistol and was so happy with it that I'm gonna go with them for my .308 barrel. Upper and LPK will be Aero Precision and maybe even muzzle break if I can find a deal on one. Probably gonna go with a tubular handguard because the only thing I'll be attaching to it is a bipod As for glass I've had good results with all of my Vortex optics so I'll likely go that route for this as well. |

I have the Crossfire II with BDC reticle if I'm not mistaken? It was dead nuts on right out of the box and has held zero perfectly. This was on a 5.56 rifle though so I'm not totally sure how it'll handle the increased recoil of .308 I also have a Sparc II and Strikefire II which have both been awesome. I had an EOTECH before and honestly I prefer the Vortex optics Just my .02 |

I was looking a lot at the strike fire and the sparc ar. |

I'm sorry if this has been asked, I googled it for 45 minutes and could not find a discussion about it. Aero precisions website states that their M5 uppers have M4 feed ramps, is this a typo? I'm looking for a forged 308 upper to put my Larue predatar barrel in because I'm swapping it with a Larue 260 barrel when available. I was hoping to use the aero upper because the price is right.
Thanks |

It was all black until yesterday when I figured I'd give it the rattle can treatment.
