Been reading several of the threads here trying to figure this out but I can not seem to get it straight yet.

I am trying to figure what barrel to get without spending $400 on it. I want to be able to shoot subsonic rounds with suppressor from a SBR and hit targets out to 200 yards max while still having enough to kill large wild pigs. Being able to use sonic rounds from the same barrel would be nice also.

I figured a barrel around 10" with a 1/7 twist would fit just fine. BUT I can not find one under $400. Does somebody besides AAC or Noveske make what I am looking for? Would a shorter barrel or something with 1/8 twist still meet my goal of killing large pigs at 200 yards?

Thanks for any useful help or suggestions.

So you  guys are saying a 10.5 inch barrel with a 1/8 twist would meet my needs?

Thanks

I remember seeing a link or a list of companies making 300 barrels in a thread sometime ago. I do not seem to be able to find this now. Does anybody have a link to this thread?

I started buying Rainier barrels and haven't found a reason not to yet. My next RA barrel will complete my pistol build.

OK...now I have a different question.

What BCG should I use? Would it matter if a used a semi over an auto BCG? I have a semi sitting in my parts box and was wondering if I could use this BCG with this build?

Thanks

You can use any BCG you desire.  Either semi or FA versions should work just fine.

Here's another barrel you might consider.  $274.00 OTD.
