Here is my 1 day old DPMS Recon .308. I have a Simmons Aetec 3.8x12x44 scope that is going on it off of my 6.5 Grendel and a bipod/vertical forward grip. Got 3 boxes of the Winchester white box ammo which seems to be what these Recon like a lot. Will upload more pics once I fly home Monday and get everything on. Thanks.

I will also be adding in a Jard 3lb trigger next month. Killer price and quality on their triggers.

Started life as a DPMS LR-308b, it now has a FA 18.5 barrel with RRA NM trigger and various furniture upgrades. If possible, I would have relations with this rifle.

S&W M&P10

Added the MI 12" keymod in DPMS low-pro pattern with a Seekins adjustable gas block.

When installing, I compared the S&W gas tube to a Noveske midlength gas tube, and noted the 308's tube was about 3/8" longer than a standard middy tube.

Initial plans include the Vortex Viper HS-T in 6-24x50 FFP but for now, it has the Razor 1-6 VMR-2 MRAD.

B5 SOPMOD and my YHM 762 QD Brake.

I cannot find any published internal diameter data on that Fortis. Any idea, or is it possible for you to measure? Thank you. EDIT: The KX3 is 1.35 so I am assuming around 1.45-1.5"?

I see they are available at Rainer Arms now also.

I measured it at around 1.5-1.55"  Just measured it again at 1.49"

ETA:  I can try to measure it more scientifically later.  I just measured it briefly when I first got it.

Seriously!? This is the exact build almost that I started.  SI Defense upper/lower and centurion cmr rail with a hex fluted barrel from legion firearms.  Im thinking of backing out of it and just buying a SCAR 17.  I feel like the collectors value of it down the road will make it worth having more than a custom built 308.  Plus, I already have two custom AR platforms, I wanna avoid redundancy.  This picture def makes it tougher though. Do you know how much it weighs before optics?
