While trying to find a 7.62x39 barrel to replace my out of spec Shaw barrel, I stumbled on to this place: http://ballisticadvantagellc.com/home.php  Has anybody heard of this place?  Spotted this on another forum as a good place to get precision barrels.  Any input appreciated.

Well then.  Any other precision barrel makers in this caliber?

The only ones that come to mind are:

Pac-Nor Precision Barrels in OR. (Chambered rifle blanks in 7.62 x39 Lapua).

Wilson Arms Barrel Co. in CT. (Manufacture to the Industry only, unless you want 100 or more bbls.)

There may be others I'm sure but those are the ones that come to mind.
As for Ballistic Advantage they seem to be GTG.

Thanks,
Dr69er

AR performance does nice work. used there barrel and super bolt combo with m16 carrier for my first build. it was $360 free shipping for barrel, striped bolt, bolt parts kit and m16 carrier. I'm happy....

Not sure if they are what you define as "precision" but DEZ Arms has a reputation for quality barrels at a pretty reasonable price.

Thanks for that DEZ link.  I talked to BA and they said it would be several months before I'd get a barrel and I wasn't to keen on trying another Shaw barrel.  Wish I'd slugged it when I got it.  I'd have sent it back.  I do like the specs on the BA barrel though.  .300/311.  I could shoot 308 bullets with that.  My Shaw specs .304/310.  With a nominal bore that big, that leaves little room for grooves.  That explains why it is so erratic.

I don't know who manufactured the 416R Stainless Steel barrel w/ cut rifling on my sons Delton upper kit, but it sure was shooting
sub 1 Inch @ 100 yards w/ both steel cased Russian commercial and even better with Winchester brass cased ammo...

All I did was slap my Simmons Whitetail Classic 6.5-20x44mm scope on the upper which I transfered from my 6.5mm PCC upper,
loaded the mag.took Five shots (Winchester ammo) on target (first shot was low right and then I worked it counter clockwise) at
100 yards and the results were this:

Needless to say I was quite happy with the results !
