Guys, I'm trying to make a thread protector on my lathe for my DPMS LR-260 build. I just got my barrel from Krieger last week, and it currently has a JP recoil eliminator on it . Unfortunately, when I say "I just got it..", I mean my family 2000 miles away just got it, and I have to wait until I get leave or out-of-bounds liberty to do anything with it, so I can't get any measurements.

I just need to know how long the threaded section is, in general, from the face of the muzzle, to the shoulder where the brake/FH butts up against it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You want to remove the JP off the muzzle and put a thread protector on it? Usual thread from muzzle to shoulder is .600 although there may be different dimensions from Krieger.

Yes if I find the jp to be too loud. Thank you. I figured that krieger may do something different but it won't be too far off from "normal". Ill likely go .625".
