where can you get a upper receiver that has the ejection port large enough?

hmmm...anybody know where I can get a standard "A" frame type fsb to fit an .875" barrel?

Looks like a great deal! Anyone build off of this barrel yet? This makes me reconsider making a new big-bore, going with 50 rather than the 458.

MEGA has a heavy duty slickside billet upper that will work. I have one that I am building a 450B on, and It's a pretty slick.

I'm planning to do a big bore build using a LAR Grizzly OPS-4 side charger, like my 7.62x40WT below.

Bastards!!  My will power is so weak as it is!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't a side charger make it so no modification to the ejection port would be needed?

Also with the 50 Beowulf, is there a barrel nut that wouldn't work with the barrel?

Satern Maching has the uppers. They are also clearing out their .50 barrels. They have muzzle breaks that will fit. I am in the middle of a build myself.

I don't see the upper on their site but am I correct that uppers such as the Mega side charging wouldn't require the port being opened any further?

What about the MEGA Heavy Duty like this?

a couple weeks ago they had both the uppers and barrels needed for a wulf. but they now only have barrels... i got forgoten about when i was on hold on the phone with satern so i went to midwayusa and got a 18in...ss this sucker is so sweet... and right now they are the same price as saturn... i got a DPMS slab side upper from them aswell "midwayusa"... i milled it myself in about 20 min including set up time.... all the standard AR15 parts work with .50 beowulf .... say again all ar15 parts work with .50 beowulf... with the exception of .... bolt, and barrel.  and it all works off carbine length buffers and springs , most barrels are midlength, or carbine gas systems. most barrels need a 0.875 gas block.... thats an odd size but yet again midwayusa has them.

as far as i can tell there is no one on the net that sells .50 recivers. and Alexanger arms wont just sell that part they want to sell a complete upper.
so heres the deal if u want a reciver you have to mill your own or get someone to do it for you....not a big deal

the measurements needed to mill your reciver very on what reciver you would like to buy.   most people like the flat top or a2 reciver. and if you get that style. you need to mill 0.040 from the top and 0.100 from the bottom... this will still alow you to get a bigger dust cover for your wulf

now i may be wrong but i may be the first to mill a slab side and i got the same results that others have by milling out only 0.70from the top.

i can mill any reviver for you in my mill if you would like pm me if anyone is interested.

this is my .50 beowulf ... its been named "The Cannon" by by shooting friends.
the reciver pics are upside down... and dont mind my wifes sewing crap on the bed... i leave her hobby alone she leaves mine alone.

I just contacted Satern about buying one of their barrels, I'll just go with a crowned barrel and avoid the hassles of finding a muzzle device.  It looks like my7.62x40WT barrel will have to go on a regular AR upper receiver, I'm going to use the side charger for the .50 Beo.

What does your port measure?  I'm hoping the LAR side charger has a big enough opening, if not I may be contacting you about milling it a bit bigger.
