I like it. I would probably take it a step further and go with a wood pistol grip as well.

I like the look of wood on ARs, I have a set of Dan Konrad's red laminate on my RRA Predator Pursuit and it looks fantastic.

This gun is 100% reliable and accurate

3 shots at 100yds with hunting ammo

10 shots at 50yds with the cheap stuff

I made some changes to the X39

Added sling, XT rail covers, and moved the Fastfire II red dot back onto a lower profile 45° mount that fits under the scope.

I was stuck at home waiting for a signature-required package the other day, so to kill time I took a group photo of my 7.62x39 ARs.

Armalite on the left, YHM on the right.

Upgraded the glass on my YHM 7.62x39 with a TA33G-13 (7.62x39 horseshoe reticle).

I bought a DPMS complete AR-7.62x39, and the neither of the 10-rnd plastic mags shipped w/the rifle would feed even 1-round. I tested the carbine with four different C-Products 7.62x39 SS mags, and all ran perfectly. I got a return authorization from DPMS for the junque-mags that shipped w/the rifle, but haven't found the time or motivation to return them (yet). ––CC

Ive had that to.. I had alot of issues with my build untill I got ASC mags from one of AIM. it had some small issues but after messing with the lips on the mag everything works great .. All 4 of my mags work great now. Its a shame that one of the main issues with the 7.62x39 seems to be the magazines.

I modified the bolt and feedramps long ago and has always ran 100% with my Frankenmags. It is a hog getter.

There was a thread about a week ago and someone had a good pic and points to grind and polish with dremel. Mine are opened up more. Start removing some of the center lug and down. Remove some, then black out with marker, then shoot, then verify.

Does the recoil reducing stock make a noticeable difference?
