So I am starting my build after seeing all the builds I have seen on here and I will post pics this weekend. So far I have for the build is

Mega Ma-Ten Receiver set
Montana 16" Midlenght barrel
GA DMR trigger
Magpul miad grip
Magpul ACS stock
on order is
DPMS bolt and carrier
Buffer and spring
.308 bolt catch

Still need to order a few lower parts
Low Pro Gas Block
Gas tube
Handguard? This is where I need some input I have used Daniel Defense before but I have been looking into the Troy 13.8" TSX handguards. Does anyone have any experience with these handguards. Thanks for any help.

My build is COMPLETE as of 9/19/11.

Here's the skinny:

Mega MA-Ten U/L
20" BHW Poly-rifled Barrel
DPMS Chromed BCG
Troy TRX-308 13.8"
AAC 18T Muzzlebrake (for my 7.62SD)
Troy Low Profile Gas Block
Giessele DMR Trigger
Magpul MIAD
Magpul PRS
Phase 5 308 EBR Ambi Bolt Release
Leupold MK4 3.5-10x M3 Illum. TMR Mil-dot in a Larue SPR-S mount
A bipod to be named later
And all of it given a good coating of Duracoat Tactical Flat Dark Earth...

The rifle in the pics below the MA-TEN is my Noveske Gen 2 FFL/VLTOR MUR build (basically it's little brother)

Noveske Rifleworks 20" 6.5 Creedmoor barrel:

Mega Arms MA-Ten billet upper and lower set:

I am still waiting on a Geissele SSA trigger and a black Magpul CTR to replace the OD green one I had laying around. It will be topped with a Falcon Menace 4-14x44 FFP mil/mil scope. Put it all together and as of now, I get this:

Good choice going with Noveske. ;) What barrel length is that?

FYI, If you look a couple posts up at my pictures, the Troy QD end plate fits perfectly, almost like it was made for the MA-Ten set.

Very nice. Would like to see some groups and favorite loads from that 6.5CM when you have them. I put one in my LMT MWS upper but only have 40 factory rounds through it so far with two 5 shot groups under 0.8".

At what distance were those groups? 100? I can't wait to get it finished. I have shelved the menace and am waiting on a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10.

I'd love to see some grouping shots mothergreen. I cancelled my order with them when they said it could take up to six weeks. I went with the rainier arms ultramatch instead.

I thought you had a BHW barrel, I'm waiting on my 18" from BHW. I got in on a group buy on a different forum. Have you had it to the range yet? I'm just waiting on my barrel now so i can get to the range and test it!!

yup put about 125 rounds thru it. i only had the 3 surefire ladders when I took it to the range so it was kinda uncomfortable holding the rifle way back towards the mag so after the 5 rounds clean, 5 rounds clean, 5 rounds clean, stuff I just messed around taking pictures like this

I mostly shot at the two steel plates but when I did shoot at paper it grouped pretty nicely. none of the rounds were on top of eachother but they were pretty close. next time I go out im going to see how well the barrel groups.

NICE, pics are good You just shooting iron shigts? I'll only be shooting iron sights for a while, gotta let the bank account recover before I can buy a scope and a mount. I have a MIllet TRS on my SPR build that I'll probably put on my Mega just to see how it groups after I get teh irons set...

The more pics the better, keep 'em coming!!

I'll probably have my scope mounted the next time I take it out. I ordered the wrong size.. how was I to know the 3-9 accupoint was the ONLY model with a 1 inch tube lol

pic b4 the rail coveres

I wanted an armadynamics ambi charging handle but couldn't locate one so if you know of one being sold by a reputable dealer that would be great.

Nice rifle! That ACS stock is the way to go on the MA-TEN, IMHO.

BTW, looks like your magazine catch could use a couple more turns...

ACS is most deff. the way to go!! That's what mine is wearing

Does he need more turns on his mag. release or is that a bullet button? I've never seen one...
