The stock buffer would fit but it leaves a lot of threads exposed with the ACS stock. So I took off the stock buffer off and replaced it with an AR15 buffer tube and a slash ar10 buffer kit.

I AM DONE LOOKING AT THEM UNTIL I MINE GETS HERE....seeing that NF which is what I will be running pushed me over the freaking edge.....you guys have such fantastic new toys...GREAT SETUP here on this one....perfectly setup to drop bad guys out to 1000m, so many folks are going the battle rifle way with less powered optics...great way to go, but after extensively fielding some MRP SS action....I am more than likely going to dedicate my MWS in a countersniper type config. and run a LT-724 w. T-1 for in near and any potential SHTF that may arise while carrying it.

i have a Surefire FH762K03 on order. it's 5/8 x 24 which is what LMT told me the MWS was.

there is an FH762K that's threaded 3/4 x 24 for the M110.

i'll let you know when mine gets here.

have not had mine on a scale yet but it's said to be 13lbs. nope.

give me a few minutes and i'll try to find out.

edit: the scale only measures in full pounds so this isn't exact...

LMT MWS is just under 10lbs with no mag, no scope or bipod.
with the scope and an empty PMag it's just under 11.5lbs
add the harris/LaRue combo and you get just at 12lbs.

thanks, I didn't realize there were two models. Let me know how the one you ordered works out (in terms of effectiveness)

sure thing. i ordered the big brother of the one that's on my SBR above.

i did get to shot my SBR this evening just as it was getting dark and over all i was happy with the performance. it looked as if there was less flash than what you get on a 16" with an A2. from a 10.5" i would say that's not bad.

shot the MWS near dusk too a good bit of flash from the A2 and the 1975 surplus 7.62

edit:

i just remembered that the Brits ordered the L129A1 with a three prong Surefire. i would say that there is an option that WILL fit.

Free, what are your thoughts on the LMT trigger? i figure you've got a fair amount of range time with yours by this point, you like the trigger?
after the other day at the range and the many, many times i've dry fired this thing i'm positive that i need another trigger. i'll get another 200 or 300 rounds through this thing sunday and monday but i don't think this thing is gona get that much better.

ran just at 100 rounds through the MWS this morning and re-confirmed that the trigger isn't as good as it could be.

are you looking at another two stage? i can say that the Geissele in the OBR is an excellent trigger. even though it's awesome i'm on the hunt for a single stage unit. a friend said that Geissele makes a single stage but i can't seem to find anything on it.
