Some 3 gun guys over on Brian Enos or such forums, took some DPMS steel mag bodies, cut them, and welded them together. I think they said it was 28 rounds or so. Look like hell though, and it becomes clear why you dont see 30s- they are long as hell:

allied armament has a 50 round drum, it is only $400. ouch. not sure if it will work with my dpms.

Just got a new CheaperthanDirt catalog and it has a POF 25 round mag for $69.97. I can get 3 or 4 magpuls for that.

Thanks for the info.
I'll pick up a few C Products when they are out. I'm also glad that Springer Precision is making a LR 20 Mag coupler. I have the coupler for the PMAGS and it is solid. It provides very stable support when going prone as well......uh.....when the rules allow! I should probably pick up a couple more LR Mags as well then. |

I've seen both the POF 25 rounders and the Allied Armament 50 rounders. Both are very nice magazines. POF's 25 rounder is traditionally looking, and obviously the drum is like no other drum i've ever seen its very small. The drum is based off the German HK G8 drum with an extended tower.

I'm glad I am not the only one that POF has been dragging out for over a year on these magazines. They got me with the .308 stock as well. I love my POF P-308, but I swear I don't know how in God's name a gun this innovative came from a company where everyone I have attempted to deal with seems so incompetent. I was told 14 months ago that the magazines were waiting to ship because they were in the final phase of testing, last week when I made my most recent inquiry about my order I was told that the magazines were waiting to ship because they were in the final phase of testing. 
I guess I would rather them not ship than ship out something less than acceptable, but my God, this is a rifle magazine not the space shuttle. They must have really f#!@$% up the original if they are still trying to fix it almost a year and a half later! |

Guys the initial 25rd .308 mags from us will be going through some tests next week, if they are good to go they should be available in about 2 weeks.

20 is plenty heavy for me but then I saw the drum.
 I can see that on my FAL with the built in bi pod.
