From reading the forums it sounds like the R-25 is made for Remington by DPMS. Will the 19 round .308 magazines work properly in the R-25? I went to Cabelas this morning and they had an R-25 chambered in .243 that seemed like a very nice rifle, but if I purchase a rifile like that I would want more than the 4 round magazine that it come with.

It uses the same as the DPMS. You can also use the retro armalite mag. With it.

Buy a DPMS just like R-25 and you get two 19 round magazines.

I have never seen a camo offering from DPMS. I think that is strictly available through Remington as part of their promoting it as a hunting rifle.

Camo pattern is Remington only and as the others said DPMS mags fit the R-25

I just got some of the new C-Products mags from http://www.44mag.com for my LR308L. They worked well today.

How well does the 308L shoot?  I have the LR308 24" BB and it is "balls".  I'm trying to trade my Remington LTR .308 for a LR308L upper and whant to know if they are as accurate.

I know post is old but just in case.

Happened to find a R-25 in .308 today.  I was planning on my next purchase being a S&W MP 15, but since it was there.....  Also being that I live in NY is there a pre-ban mag that will work?   I plan on ordering a couple 10 round, and probably an extra 5 round in case I want to take it hunting.

The original Fairchild Armalite (not the Illinois Armalite) aluminum waffle mags will work if you can find and afford them.

I saw one of those on GB last week, didn't know if it would work and passed on it.  I might spring for one, just to have.

I ordered an R25 in .308 a month ago through my gun store.  They can't even get speculation from remington as to when it will come in.  I'm guessing next December or January.
