Yeah, it is a shame to have to change things right away, but some guns will work ok with the stock stuff, and some won't. FP protrusion needs to be around .039" for the Wolf and other Eastern ammo, and most AR pins only protrude about .031".
When you attempt to mod things to get longer protrusion, sometimes the pin starts to pierce primers because the tip is so narrow. The only reason why the new bolt is needed is because the pin is a little thicker and won't fit thru the hole in a normal bolt.
With our kit, we make the pin longer and thicker, which solves the ignition issues and the piercing issuses too.
We wondered why nobody thought of this before, but at least we have made a solution available. We sell these often with our MGI Hydra variant with the AK magwell and 7.62x39 conversions.
