If a GII is considered an AR10 variant, here's mine. With an A1 stock, YHM keymod free float tube, Superlative Arms adjustable gas block, Primary Arms 1X6 scope, Magpul sling and mags. So far, in spite of the changes, it's been 100% reliable with SA surplus. Need to get back to the range soon, it's calling my name again.

Really, AR-pattern DI .308s are basically the AR-10 in one way or another except with minor modifications.

Although the Colt 901 is technically an AR-10 upper on a modernized ambi AR-15 lower, so I can post it in both AR-10 and AR-15 threads.

Those are good looking sets. I just can't get myself to spend more than the cost of a mega MML set that is full ambi when the CMT lower is not. Look forward to seeing your full build.

Thanks. I do love how they look. I was surprised they're not not ambi like my other CMT lowers but it'll play a different roll than my others.
Mega makes great stuff, they've just never been my flavor for some reason.

Well then I guess it's good my KAC/DPMS based gun is built on an Armalite lower that accepts Knights Armament mags. I thought we had come to the conclusion that these lines are pretty blurred now a days and most people call any 308 based AR pattern rifle an "AR10". Or now we have the armalite thread named the "AR-10" thread, then the Aero Precision thread, and the DPMS thread (where someone said they only wanted DPMS rifles and not DPMS pattern rifles). Do you want us to now start a "308 based AR pattern rifle" thread for franken-builds?

I say just keep all the builds in one thread and who cares. This isn't a strict clone thread. Hell I had to dig it up from page 4 and months ago to post my rifle, it's not like this is a very thriving thread. My build is Armalite by roll mark only, everything else is KAC based.

Need an optic, trigger and a couple small things like the bolt catch spring, and mag release bar & spring. Trigger I'll most likely take the milspec out of another rifle and put a nicer trigger in that one.

Optic, thinking 1-6 something.

IMI Defense 20 rounders. AFAIK, Aim Surplus is the only vendor I found selling them. They still list them, but they go OOS VERY quickly when they get them. If interested, get on the notification list for them and buy QUICK when they get them in stock. They come in black, OD Green, and Tan.

The FDE is very close. Not perfect, in the sun you can tell the difference but it's very close.

Thanks man. Can't wait to get an optic. Will be testing 'er out this weekend. I'm sure I'll take a few pics while doing so.
