Its a Dutch AR10 originally manufactured in 1958 for delivery to Sudan.  The gun was
probably imported into the US in the early 1980s as a parts set.  It was re-assembled
in the US using a semi-auto lower receiver made by Specialty Arms.

The carry handle is specially milled for a scope but correct scopes are not available.
Fortunately, another Delft scope variant fits and functions fine.  The scope on it was made
in 1961 for the Dutch FAL rifles.

Sure thing:

From Aero pecison I got  The upper, lower, Nickel Boron BCG, take down pins and extended mag release and gen 2 handguard
The barrel is a 16" faxon medium profile in 416r
All the internals in the lower were bought individually from brownells except what I listed above that is specifically for the m5
Phase 5 bolt catch
Geissele SDe trigger
Magpul MIAD grip
Magpul acs stock
Mil spec buffer tube
Spring and buffer were from dsg and made to work in an AR10 with a standard tube
BCM QD receiver plate
Aero scope mount
Primary Arms ffp 4-14x44 Orion scope with vortex defender caps
Superlative arms bleed off gas block
Silencerco ASR muzzle break
Silencerco omega silencer
Griffin armament snatch charging handle

Here is a 3 shot group at 100 before I made my final adjustment to get dead on the X, this was with federal 180 vital shock ammo which isn't the best ammo out there but this gun seems to like it. The squares on the target are 1"

I hunt with mine, Remington R25, the paracord keeps the FFT from ringing when sticks and such hit it while moving through the brush and it is not cold to the touch.

outstanding

how is that app?
Link Posted: 12/4/2016 12:46:55 PM EDT
[#49]
It's well worth the $15. We had a 10-12 mph cross wind and were shooting over a creek so the wind was different at our location vs at the target. First shot elevation was spot on using the chart but 6" off due to the wind. Had to dial in windage but the second, third and fourth were on steel.

Here's my chart from that day.

There's a lot more features to the app then just the ballistics. There's a new release that'll be out in the next few weeks that uses google maps instead of the apple maps. It's in the beta stage now and a buddy of mine had it the day we were out. It makes something that's already good that much better.
