I suggest ADCO.

Muzzle brakes seem to be the standard.

Unlike ar15 the ar10 makes practical use of it?

[Last Edit: Quarterbore] [#10]

Notes about this rifle:  This is an Armalite AR-10A4 which I had cut and removed the pinned muzzle break.  I added one of Art's SWS FF Rail tubes as well as one of the is the Armalite CAR stocks.  The flash hider is a Gem-Tech Bilock as I plan to purchase a Gem-Tech TPR-S for my 308 and 300 Whisper projects.   The lower features a standard single stage AR-10 trigger as I plan to convert this lower to be used with a REGISTERED Lightning Link when I find the time.

Almost 2-years later but here is how she looks now...

Quarterbore,

Is that the new style or old style Bi-Lock?  Also, I'm eagerly awaiting your final work with that lightening link.

It is the old style...  to be honest I have one of the out of spec EA-10 lowers on order and I am hoping that it comes soon as I would rather mill on an out of spec lower then my AR-10 lower until I get everything figured out...

I'm going the other direction.  For the precision the AR10 can produce, the TA11* is too coarse a sighting device for small targets and long ranges.  I think an M1 would work better...  Nice setup.

Not much to look at.   Eagle Arms/Armalite.  GG&G Riser.  Leupold 6-18X40.  Badger Ord Rings. I added NM trigger.  She is kinda plain but I like keeping things simple.  Zero problems of any sort.  She runs like a champ.

Did that work out well?  Was the M5 as sturdy on a -10 as it would be on a -15?

I will take pics of the current AR10 A4 20" with the KAC 2-stage and NM Fiberglass handguard.

I will also take some pics of the GAP Sniper's Hide AR10 that I recently acquired.

This spot reserved for those photos.

Worked PERFECTLY!  Would be ideal for a bipod mount or light or laser.  Just not my thing on that rifle so I sold the M5 off.

Ace doesn't have collapsible stocks for the AR10?, as far as a Socom,
How did you manage that?

I am thinking of having a flash supressor installed.  Will group .5 MOA without a problem with Black Hills.  Had to modify the rail so the MAD would sit further forward.

Hokie,

That's a REAL nice setup.
I like the choices you made on your rifle, especially the Trijicon scope.
True all purpose unit the way you did it.

It was only a couple of years ago when I got that AR10 fever, starting with the Eagle Arms.
Now I've got my 2003 SEBR and you've got your excellent rifle.
Cool.
Still working on the gun, it looks a bit different now because the 'nubbin' has a factory installed muzzle brake on it.  I changed the scope and mounts a couple of times, and I may look for a collapsible buttstock, etc.  Great fun.

Thanks Busman.....that was my theme with the gun.....an very accurate general purpose high test lead delivery system.

That SEBR is very sweet itself.  I'm a huge fan of that quad rail FF set up.  I'd consider adding one if it wouldn't break my bank.  However seeing that most if not all the distance my 308 ammo will ever see is 300-400 yards, my standard lightweight barrel and handguard is more than sufficient.  I wouldn't mind adding a Surefire M972C to the rifle for sending some real bright light down range.  We'll see how it evolves!  I like the lightweight of the AR10 though, much, and I mean MUCH lighter than any FAL or M1A I've ever picked up.

Thanks though for the high five, I'm still drooling over it in the safe!  Only thing different on the gun now is two Blizzard see through scope caps.

Here's mine.  Just got the TA55.  Got it for $1100, so I figured I'd take it.  I love it.
