6'1"
Second position with a SOPMOD (it's longer than most stocks.) Probably equates to third position or slightly shorter with other stocks. |

[#3]
6'.
Position 2, 3, or 4. Depending on which stock and what I'm wearing. |

5' 11"
I have several rifles with scopes ( a couple 2-7's and a fixed 3X power).......position 2 or 3 depending on scopes Iron sights.....always position 2 |

[#7]
one click on car stocks
two clicks on 6 pos stocks But nothing is concrete as I shoot in all seasons |

[#8]
6'3"
3 notches out for stock. 15" rail with mini VFG 2/3 the way out on the rail |
|
[#12]
I used to run all of my AR's around the 3'rd position. Now I run them fully extended.

I like my AR stocks short (nearly fully collapsed or entry-length if it's a fixed stock), and I am 6'7" tall. AK stocks have to be Nato length to be comfortable, though. It feels like I have my head crammed in the action with an AK (plus I always half expect my AKs to blow up or something). It's all about how close you want your face to the sights/action, I guess.

5' 9"
I can accomplish most of of my shooting with the stock fully collapsed or one notch out. |

5'11" 1st position. Pisses me off when I hand it to someone and they slide it all the way out then complain they can't see the friggin scope. Brad I will lengthen it a little bit if I'm prone, but that is pretty rare. -Mike |

[#19]
Yeah, 2nd or 3rd notch out here too, with either my MFT minimalist or BCM sopmod0.
|
|
[#21]
Depends.
I'm about 5'8 or 5'9, depending on which convenience store I'm leaving. Body armor, standing, fully collapsed. No body armor, standing, second or third position. Prone, fully extended. |

...as far in as I can get it... Oh wait, you are asking about STocks....

[#24]
5'11" I store mine on 2 clicks out. I dont always keep it there but when its basically my middle ground. BCM stock, dont recall the type.
|

[#26]
5'10", I like it 3rd position mainly. Vltor IMOD stock on a 4-position Colt tube. I'll occasionally run it all the way out for prone, or run it on 2nd position when shouldered for an optic that is cruel with the eye relief.
It's never fully collapsed unless going into the range bag. Can't imagine trying to actually use it like that without wearing body armor, but then maybe I've got long arms. |

[#29]
5'-9"
fully collapsed with a SOPMOD stock 2nd click with standard M4 stock |
|
[#30]
6'4.
Fully collapsed with an Emod, one click out with an Imod. I like getting my support arm out near the muzzle. I also have a 14in + barrel and keep the gun relatively compact. This keeps the weight in closer to my body so there's less fatigue and my support arm controls recoil and movement of the gun better. |

[#32]
Im 6'3" and the most comfortable position for my stock is fully extended. I tried all other positions and they feel too small but fully extended is perfect.
|
|
[#33]
5'8", and like my Stock position to be at the First notch, but my MK12 Mod 1 on the 2nd lol
|

[#34]
I'm 6'2", I usually like it all the way out or 1 notch in. I use a Magpul STR for a better cheekweld.

5' 10" - 2nd or 3rd notch on a 6-position stock. Most of my rifles have a MagPul .70 enhanced buttpad installed, so they get position 2.
I have a fairly bony collarbone, and the edge of the stock tends to push against it when snugged into my shoulder pocket. The longer buttpad takes care of the issue and, IMO, gives a better grip. |

[#43]
3 out. Works standing to prone and everything in between. 6'3"
|
|
[#45]
5'6"
First or second notch on a 6 position tube. Mostly the second... MFT Minimalist stock on 11.5" SBR. |
|
[#46]
I'm 6'. On six position tubes I like my SOPMOD stocks one position out from fully collapsed, CAR and Colt waffle stocks I like two positions out from collapsed. On 4 position Colt tubes, I like waffle and CAR stocks the first position out from collapsed, I do not like SOPMOD stocks on Colt 4 position tubes.

[#47]
6'5". Rifles with red dots are all the way out. My rifle with a PA 3x prism is on position 3 I believe. 4 closes the eye box up just a bit too much.
Learned that I like the stock all the way out while in a class and shooting under a barrier or prone(can't recall) and got smacked in the nose from the recoil. |

[#49]
Depends on the stock. When I get a new stock I use the moe as a control and line up the locking pins on the srocks by stacking them. What I've found is stocks as much as an inch from the pin yo the butt pad. Generally one or 2 clicks out is where I am. 2 clicks for shorter stocks, 1 for longer.
Out of the stocks I'm currently using from longest to shortest from locking pin to rear of stock. The b5 is the longest. Moe sl. Mft minimalist Daniel defence. The dd stock is by far the shortest from pin to butt. I run it 3 clicks out. The rest at 2 clicks and are within 1/4" of each other. The dd is almost an inch shorter than my longest from pin to butt. |
