Looks like the Gen 2 is delayed again; so I need to re-think a stock for my precision SPRish build. I've already invested in a VLTOR A5 buffer and spring so I'd like to use that. What I'm looking for:

* Solid, comfortable cheek weld
* Something that will work with the VLTOR A5 buffer/spring
* Solid lockup (no wiggling)
* Heavier to balance the weight of the 18" SPR barrel and scope

The Magpul PRS would be great; but it doesn't work with the VLTOR buffer and it's even more expensive than the UBR.

Any thoughts? I've already pre-ordered the UBR Gen 2 from 2 sources; but it looks like its going to be towards the end of the year now and I'm tired of using my old CTR stock on my SPR build.

That's what I did.  The gen2 changes removed a few end-user options (like making compartment door unchangeable).

I like options.  so I got the gen1

Will it work with the A5 buffer? I didn't think it did.

But I've been know to be wrong occasionally (okay......a lot).

No, it won't work with the Vltor A5, but if you want a UBR right now, that's the only option you have.

Why not a vltor emod? Solid cheek weld, locks up tight against my a5 tubes.
