The only larger mag release buttons that I have seen had nothing to do with their size in relation to the lower receiver. They either have extensions that accommodate shorter trigger fingers or are taller to be easier to distinguish over the lower receiver "fence".

The mag button hole has to be larger than the button, or the button couldn't be inserted into the hole, there will always be a bit of play because of it.
It's likely the mag button hole on your receiver is larger than spec tolerances. Re: extended mag buttons, though it isn't what you're looking for, we're firmly against it, unless it's a full time gaming rig or something built for folks (women and children) that can't reach the mag release due to the size of their hands. The case for standard height mag release button Though we do make a taller profiled mag button (EMR-C), it's not recommended for home defense or duty use, it's for sporting ARs. |
