Rail scales are $75 for 3....$40 is a steal in comparison

Well...that certainly makes me feel better about 40 bucks.

I've used both the Ergo MLOK rail covers. I think they were $30 for 4. Each panel covered an entire side of my Geissele 9.5" MK8.

I've also used Magpul Type 1.
Both are very low profile. Magpul is the lowest profile. Ergo has more texturing.

Magpul Type 1 are more smooth but use a softer rubber that still has a good amount of grip.

If you go with Strike Industries, make sure you buy double what you need, they break way to easy. Out of the two packs I purchased literally 4 broke while installing them. I contacted the company through their website back in November and still haven't heard back, figured its a waste and tossed the rest in a junk drawer.

I saw that in several reviews of the Strike Industries panels..That's too bad. perhaps a new formulation to make them less brittle or another manufacturer.

This is a problem with both MLOK and Keymod. There aren't enough companies making rail covers for either and the ones that do want a little too much for their plastic parts!

I picked up the Type 2 magpul M-Lok covers. I will post a few pics and my thoughts later... so far, I like them. and the cost was reasonable.

I like the profile, they are not too thick. I like the texture and they are not stiff and rigid. I will have to use them for awhile and see how they hold up.

I get that G10 is more expensive than plastic, but good lord I can buy G10 handgun grips for less than that.

Ordered some Magpul Type 1's to try out.

I want to keep my MI G3 rail as slim as possible, yet add a bit of grip to it.

You mean the place that sells a bunch of knock off Magpul shit?  The one that's located in Florida (where you claim to be located)?  The same ASP supply that you've now mentioned in 17 different posts since you've been a member here?  No thanks.  GTFO shill.

OP, I've used the Strike Industries covers and they worked pretty well.  I still prefer no covers and just using gloves.

I've got the Magpul type 1 covers, they are super low profile, but not much grip. I'm thinking about taking the soldering iron to them to see if I can add some texture. They are cheap enough that if I ruin them I can get more.

In looking around, I see that Guntec and Ergo have both introduced M-Lok rail covers.

Here's the link for Ergo:

http://ergogrips.net/products/rail-covers/m-lok-wedgelok-slot-cover-grip-398.html

Here's the Guntec link:

http://www.guntecusa.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=93&product_id=909

Anyone have any experience with any of these? The Guntec ones seem a bit pricey for what you get.

$55 for one 3 piece kit for the Guntec seems way out of the ballpark considering that's about the cost of their rails. I've been using the magpul type 2 and they work well for alot cheaper.

I've used the Ergos before the Magpul Type 1.

They're a little tougher than the Magpul ones with better texturing but at the expense of a little more thickness. I feel like the Magpuls are a little too supple and will pick up debris. I may go back to the Ergos.

Got the ERGO on an Odinworks rail. Grippy and lean. EXCELLENT, and not too spendy.

Obvious shill post. Deserved the ban hammer.
Poster and ASP are in Florida, This is about M-lok covers and the  ASP site only shows Keymod. I would never order from an otherwise unknown company that hides its location and only gives you a phone number and email contact form.
