Can you run the charging handle with it mounted?

Unless you plan using an optic mounted to a carry handle and have the correct stock, it is useless.

It's a cheek rest/riser... what exactly is your question?
You cannot charge it while the stock is collapsed. This may or may not cause problems with malfunction clearance while shooting depending on where you place your stock. Besides that... if you need it, then it does the job. It's a non-critical component, so if it breaks on you, it is what it is. Otherwise, it's intended to allow for individual comfort with the weapon configuration. Not the same brand/model...
