I understand they are not making them any more (?)
US Government marked M16's for example command a premium over normal M16's so I wonder if LEO currently (or will expect to down the road )command more.

Just bought a LEO AR15 in  9MM and am looking at LEO SBR's in 223.

I wouldn't pay anything extra for a LEO/restricted/etc lower as it does nothing for me.

Aesthetics do not add anything to the function.

SAME HERE!!! Glad to see I'm not alone...to a lot of the Gun Newbs they are more desirable but around here, you'll find most people want more in spec lowers than just owning one that says LE on it.

Nothing unless your plan is to resell in new/mint condition in 10+ years. Even then I'm not sure it's worth any extra money given all the other great AR products out there today

I would pay less and would dump it fast. I have personally known corrupt LEOs and think they would use that as an excuse to confiscate.

Same. None.

I've been using solely Anderson lowers on builds anyway for a while now - a forged lower is a forged lower as far as I'm concerned. Why overpay for a name or a logo?

I know that Anderson lowers are cheap, but I'll never use one. After all the shill antics they pulled around here they lost any possible business from me. Plus that BS coating crap of theirs.

I've often wondered if those LEO marking ever case issues like this.

ETA: I remember a guy on the EE a couple of months ago that thought the LEO markings added a lot of value to his rifle. He was asking a big premium for an LEO marked 6920.

A "Restricted Military/Government Law Enforcement/Export Use Only" marked Colt LE6920 or "Restricted for Government or Law Enforcement Use Only" marked LMT Defender 2000 will appeal to some people. I have mine because I bought them several years ago when Colt and LMT were still marking them this way. As one said, it does not do anything for function, but to a collector it may be worth paying a little extra for. I do not plan on getting rid of mine any time soon.

Having spent 14 years as an LEO and realizing that the job isn't anything any more special than any other job... Such rollmarks do nothing for me. In fact, I would much rather have an LE6920 marked as "M4 Carbine" than to have one marked "Colt's Law Enforcement Carbine". I never bought the Law Enforcement Carbine, but I bought the first M4 Carbine 6920 that I saw. To each his own, but I'd expect to pay $100.00 less for the older rollmark as it is far less desireable to me. Then again... My favorite AR currently has the controversial Spikes logo on it.

Those markings mean nothing to 99% of shooters, including myself. The other percentage think they are cool to have because they are holster sniffers, collectors, or just want the markings because they are getting more rare to find as of late; bragging rights perhaps. Pure conjecture on my part I'll admit.

Some people might, I wouldn't. However, I can give you a great deal on my "collector" LE-marked 6920.

I like them, I could live without but would rather have the marked lower. The biggest bonus id pay would probably only be like 25 bucks max

25 bucks? No way. $23.67 at the very most.

It's not a plus, it's a minus, IMO. Same with LEO marked mags. I don't won't any of them.
