Doesn't look like the Nordic

The stock arms don't look like Spex?

That's me!!!...but yes it was expensive and it uses a custom bcg, spring etc.

The only issue i've had with it is it tends to lock up after heavy firing. That is the stock won't collapse. A little oil usually fixes it but i'm going to tinker with it a little and see if i can't get that problem solved also.

I will say that i have had zero issues or malfunctions using this stock and bcg for what it's worth. I was pretty skeptical to start out with but i'm impressed.

Is that considered an SBR or a pistol?

The good news is i didn't efile and it only took about 10 months to get my form back so that's not too bad really. Ultimately I may swap the stock out for the LWRC utlra compact but i'm not sure yet.

Must copy!

Is that a 7.5" barrel?
Are you running any thing unusual to make it work, gas block, buffer, spring?
Link Posted: 8/26/2014 2:46:51 PM EDT
[#11]
The buffer is attached to the back of the bolt carrier which comes with the stock along with a custom spring. Other than that it's just a standard 7.5" 5.56 barrel all pistol length gas system and a standard bolt. Runs great. I just built it for a fun range toy and wasn't really expecting much out of it but now i have it all together I wish I'd thrown on some QD sling mounts etc so I could carry it around if need be.

I think I've only got about $450 in this whole SBR, besides sights and stamp u

(plus a few hours of machining and welding and such, but those are free...)

Now i know that you need a tax stamp to convert a rifle to a SBR, but what if i had a SBR, but wanted to put a full length upper onto the SBR lower?

Not quite understanding your question I think. If you HAVE an SBR then you must already HAVE a tax stamp for it. There is not such beast as an SBR lower. What makes a rifle a SBR is the barrel length being less than 16" overall. If you have a SBR and wish to change your barrel length to 16" or greater, that's fine. You still have the tax stamp though for putting the shorter barrel back on it.

If you don't have a tax stamp, you don't have a SBR unless you have it illegally. If you have a pistol build with a barrel less than 16" overall length and no stock, it isn't a SBR. If you put a stock kit on it, it becomes a SBR and you better get a tax stamp before you put the stock on it.

It may sound dumb, but that's the ATF rules.

That's the Wilson TRIM rail. It lines up perfect with my can because it is an 11.3" Wilson barrel and the 10.4" rail.

Here is one I made. All plastic or carbon fiber for the rods. Uses a standard A1 buffer tube and NOT fast to deploy just fairly light weight sturdy and looks cool.
