I've been looking for a 11.5" budgetish barrel as well, Voodoo makes a medium and lightweight contour thay can be had under $200. I'm waiting for some labor day ales before I make a purchase.

Brownells has DPMS 11.5" chrome lined barrels for $177, Midway has them for $170, but they tend to be higher on shipping

If you want a barrel with no gas block (stripped), go here: http://www.jsesurplus.com/del-ton115heavybarrel1x9chromelinedstripped.aspx If you want a standard front sight tower, then: http://www.jsesurplus.com/DPMS11.5HeavyBarrel1X9ChromeLined.aspx Note: You can cut-off the top of the Front Sight tower and have a very nice low profile, yet secure gas block. |

Got it from DSG when they were on sale for under $200 |

I've heard great things about MAS Defense, I saw they had only one 11.5" offering so I contacted them about possible more variations. They responded saying that in about 30 days they should have out more 11.5" barrels in the M4 contour 1:9 & 1:7 in melonite and hardened steel.

Have you checked MAS Defense?
I like their 223 wylde or 5.56 barrels. Not a single problem with the 4 barrels I've built with. |
