It was a little loud when shooting under a roof.i the rifle is holding up good. Prob. One of the softest shooting uppers I have had. The weight of that mk1 helps alot too, but I'm glad I got it. I want a block II now tho. I thought about trading but I think ill keep it.

As much as I love these handguards, I absolutely HATE Geisseles version of "FDE".

They should call it "wet mud" and be done with it.

Is that a 10.5" or 10.3" barrel?  And what AAC mount are you using?

Details on the guns in this pic, especially the top gun. Just wondering what optics, rail model and lengths, and what barrel lengths.

How difficult are there smr mk4 to install , and what is the preferred length ?     I just bought a colt 6920 along with a magpul ubr stock and this rail looks to be just what I'm looking for .

Thanks newbie to modding  the ar platform.

I've posted a picture of this rifle before, but it's gone through a couple big changes since then:

I'm assuming the MK4 install is the same as my MK1. If that is the case, it's super easy IMO. Geissele provides their wrench, which can be used to remove the standard barrel nut, and install the new Geissele nut. It's easier to install then the drop-in rails that use the standard barrel nut IMO.

Are you planning to swap in a low profile gas block, or cut down your Colt FSB? If the former, I went with Geissele's super gas block, and I'm very happy with it.

As he said, it's very easy to install a MK4. The hardest part you will have is removing the front sight post (gas block) from your gun and installing a new low profile gas block along with removing the delta ring. Or cutting it down. The handguard itself is as simple as screwing a barrel nut, no indexing required, and throwing two cross bolts through it. The easiest handguard i've ever installed.
